Thanks Astroman for posting the video of the strange object I captured on 16th January 2008 at the Horsehead.
It certainly was a strange phenomenon. It appeared in five frames and not in the other five. Each of the 10 frames were 150 seconds long and taken about 30 seconds apart. Study at high resolution reveals that it is not a hot pixel, internal reflection or imaging artifact. The puzzle remains.
