Max on the Cat Wheel

Maximilian demonstrating the use of his new cat wheel. Made from an old ping pong table and other bits and pieces. There are wheels on the back (from my old freebord) that keep the wheel rolling smoothly and stable. The circumference is 8 feet and diameter is 31 inches. Max is 1.5 yrs, very playful, but easily spooked. He loves everything I make him though. I'm hoping he'll eventually enjoy walking in it on his own.

This is a real cat lover! Nice idea...you could make it a bit larger. Cat wheels are not just for spoiled Bengal Cats anymore!

@Suertsje Ya, one from the local Humane Society. It was brought in 4 years ago as a kitten, foster parented by a volunteer from the shelter. Returned back to the shelter when big enough to adopt. Adopted out as a 4 month old but bit a child (a love bite) but brought back. Been there 14 months! Now that is pretty "harsh", the whole time they were stuffing the food at her and she was an anxious eater so she got to 16.5#. We had to bail her out!

@Suertsje Real harsh! Just for fun, if she read it she would give me a fat lip! I have to make a wheel for my adopted 16# cat that should weight 8 #!

There's not too much friction. I used abec 7 bearings. And.. my cat wheel is 3 feet bigger than yours.
