Full disclosure: I'm a liberal. I don't dislike Mike Huckabee. I disagree with a lot of his policy positions, but I'm with him on rebuilding the nation's infrastructure and his reasonable environmental ideas. Should it come down ultimately to a McCain/Huckabee ticket, I wouldn't vote for it, but I'd respect it.

The media will try and twist whatever Governor Huckabee says if it suits them for ratings. Russert pressed Huck and asked him honestly if he would accept if McCain said to him "look you can help me and I need you on the ticket to win" and Huckabee answered honestly that he had always liked McCain and McCain was always his SECOND choice behind himself & there's no one he would rather be on the ticket with. He's certainly not lobbying for vp. This country NEEDS HIM so much more than he needs US.

He is the Republican Kennedy to us.

John McCain is not to bad too. He and George W.Bush were the firs Republican candidates to actually reach out to Black Folks.
