a short video with a less harsh voice synth.
(the anon that made the voice used Text Aloud Portable to produce the .wav and Neospeech Paul as the voice)

my attempt to answer 4 of the most common questions i hear about anonymous:
"What is Anonymous?"
"Who is Anonymous?"
"What about the $cientologist's rights?"
and "Why are you doing this?"

Transcript:
_____________________________________
Originally, Anonymous was a loosely connected group of similar-minded people from all over the world who networked online, played pranks on websites, traded information and media, and were general internet rabble rousers. When Scientology came to their attention in attempting to remove videos of a slightly unstable Tom Cruise from the internet, they launched their usual array of tricks. These pranks quickly put scientology's website offline, getting the attention of mark bunker. Bunker's admonitions struck a chord, and Anonymous moved the focus to legal protests and dissemination of knowledge of Anonymous.

What is Anonymous?

The Anonymous you see protesting is a large and growing collective of individuals from any profession, gender, or race. We are connected by the internet and united by the knowledge that the Church of Scientology has committed crimes that must be dragged into the light of public awareness. We are nothing more, and nothing less. We do stress that Anonymous is not a group or organization in the traditional sense. There are no leaders, no followers. What is to be done is decided by consensus, and carried out by individual choice. As anyone can be anonymous, the actions of an individual may not always reflect the goals of Anonymous.

Don't Scientologists have a right to free speech and religion?

The objections of Anonymous are with the management of scientology: their pyramid-scheme business practices, habitual suppression of free speech and independent thought, and gross violations of basic human rights and dignity. We wish no harm to their religious beliefs, or their right to speak.

Much of the blame for this misunderstanding of our goals lays with the scientologist higher-ups themselves, as they have designed their organization to be as convoluted and incomprehensible as possible. They habitually claim that a branch of scientology is related to the main organization in whatever way most benefits their monetary or public relations interests. At one moment they claim that "Scientology" is the religion. The next moment, they claim it is referring to the organization.

Why are you doing this?

Ultimately, the purpose of being Anonymous as opposed to any other form of protest is to restore true freedom of speech to viewpoints critical of scientology. By hiding our identities from attack, we hope to shift the focus of discussion to our words. This idea, along with our lack of any leaders, are concepts the leaders of Scientology have proven unable to comprehend, let alone accept. As such, they continue to unsuccessfully attempt to defame, sue, stalk, and file restraining orders against us. This is futile, and we are not fazed by the slander and libel of the organization of Scientology.

Join us for the truth.
For the lulz.
For all those trapped by scientology.
For those who died in scientology.
For great justice.
Join us, because it's the right thing to do.

We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We do not forget.
We do not forgive.
Expect us!
