12 Baltimore area teens worked with contemporary artist Dawoud Bey to create an exhibition at the Walters Art Museum that juxtaposes Bey's contemporary portraits with historical portraits from the Walters collection. The exhibition, Portraits Re/Examined: A Dawoud Bey project, raises questions about race, class, identity, and the role of portraiture through time. The exhibition opens at The Walters Art Museum on December 13, 2008.
