Bob Marley in Chicago, 1979.11.13 - encore snippets

Bob Marley & The Wailers at the Uptown Theater in Chicago, Illinois, on November 13, 1979. The full show up to "Jammin'" has been filmed by a Japanese student from the audience. These are the rare snippets of the songs performed after "Jammin'". There's the intro and the end tunes of "Get Up, Stand Up" and the segue into a unique live performance of "Survival". Then there's a short snippet of "Survival" and an even shorter snippet of "Kinky Reggae". It is possible the whole encore has been filmed, but till yet only these excerpts are available from the encore. The rest of the show has been entirely filmed.

I believe you saw him the year before - 1978, when he did a show at the same place. He started the show with a song called "As Long Rastafari Call" which inlucdes a lot of bongos. Cool story!

I was at the Uptown show here where Bob started out on his knees in the dark playing a drum with a few other fellas. This was the craziest thing ive ever seen to date. amazing

Was there.. I was a junior in High School. Crazy friends had a spare ticket and I went and I never heard of him!. It was the best show I think I ever seen. What I remember was that there was maybe no more than a couple of hundred people at most ( how much did that tiny theater hold?) and the crazy chicks going up and down the isle with the wild turbines (chichiquita banana stuff) and tube tops on. I WILL NEVER FORGET THE MAN AND THE MUSIC!
