On May 5, 2001 I started throwing a yo-yo, because I saw Kyle Pearson (aka FIZX) at the local skatepark throwing one in the parking lot. His Atom Smasher and Brain Twister combos mesmerized me and we talked for quite a while. I told him that I was going to buy a yo-yo and that he was going to teach me some stuff. He didn't think I really would, but the next time I saw him at the park, I broke out my yo-yo and he started teaching me.
Two years later I met Connor and Tyler Ebbinghouse. They were 8 and 10 years old and it was my job to look after them 3 days a week during the summer of 2003. I ended up teaching them how to yo-yo and they ended up teaching me how to use iMovie. Kyle and I had some tricks we wanted to document, so we went out filming and afterwards the boys patiently walked me through how to create my vision in iMovie. First we made a short trailer for the video and a week later released this full version.
