  • please, does anyone know if the complete film can be obtained anywhere? What a voice, what a musician, what a Jew, what a man? The finest that can be.

  • You find it as a bonus in a Joseph Schmidt DVD box with Eidition Salzgeber.

  • m y favorite Tenor the real King of HIGH Cs!

  • Another reason to dispise Nazis and other vermin.

  • When he starts singing at 3:50, I smile spontaneously. I'm completely in love with his voice. If there was one thing I could ask to God, it would be to bring this man back. Pure and beautiful.

  • This wonderful tenor is known to lovers of classical singing. His would be a great story for a film and this could then bring that unique voice to a wider contemporary audience.

  • wenn es möglich wäre - eine deutsche übersetzung wäre gut. meine englischkenntnisse sind zu gering um das dokument komplett zu verstehen

  • @kfarm2001 no, he would rather have our people scattered without a country so we can be persecuted and completely killed off. Were talking about a holocaust victim here, he knows more than anyone how crucial it is for the Hebrews to have their own state to avoid our genocide.

  • I think you are not related to Schmidt because you don't know enough about him. Yes, he flied the Nazis and went to Switzerland, but he died in SWITZERLAND in a camp, where he simply was neglected. Shame on Switzerland!

  • Does anyone know how to access the full 55 minute version of this documentary?

  • I don't believe he would have approved of the behaviour of the zionist state.
