the point I was making is this high-tech shit is much more commonly _seen_ in Japan - they really embrace the "hi-tech" gadgety shit in their culture. I'm more than aware of the USA's technological prowess and superiority in many fields - but I haven't seen touch screen vending machines that sell underwear in American shopping malls, etc.
