Thank you for posting this. I remember when I saw this live (or whatever) years ago. i was SOOOO embarrassed for Cher that I was literally blushing. It was so hard to watch...and I don't even care that much about Cher.

me too! The irony,is that it is a really good speech,but we get distracted by the magically-miked trophy :) It's almost just as funny,the way some die-hard fans can't see what she is doing

OH I see it quite clearly what she is doing, I love her don't get me wrong, but I sometimes have to question myself as to why she does the things that she does? I didn't quite like the speech about the money, but I gave up trying to figure her out a long time ago, I just miss the OLD CHER. This is also a great parody of herself really. As a comedianne and Tribute artist myself it almost looks as if it is ONE OF US POKING FUN AT THE DIVA! :-) Thank God she did it to herself eek! God Bless

Yes,I think all the Old Guard divas,who have resorted to self-deprecation as the main theme of their career,need to be careful that they don't parody themselves out of existence.I've seen clips of Cher where she was doing so much 'schtick' that it was more like painful burlesque than a concert by a former singer :)
