dell xps 1710 running battlefield 2142

Well got a new laptop this one is faster then my 9400 was and kills the hp i had speed wise, it has a 2ghz core2 and 2 gigs of 667 mhz of ram and the gtx 7950 512 meg vid etc

just wondering if ur laptop ever freezed when ur playing battlefield, or if it overheats, i have a friend with an hp that has the go 6150 card, 1 gig of ram and 1.6 GHz, it runs BF2 ok with all the settings on low, but after awhile it just freezes the whole laptop, i hope that doesnt happen with my new laptop thats coming in, it has the 8400m gs.
