Let's debunk some myths. Myth #1 Laredo and Nuevo Laredo are the same city. No, Laredo is in Texas, USA and Nuevo Laredo is in Tamaulipas,México. Myth #2 The violence is spilling over to Laredo. No, it isn't. I live less than a 1/4 mile from Bridge #2 and my neighborhood is pretty safe. Myth #3 Two U.S. teens were kidnapped. Well, the version I heard was that they were hangin' with the wrong dudes to begin with. It's amazing how "news" can be overblown and presented as THE TRUTH.

This dum ass does not know shit...he makes it sound like our town is dangerous...Get it straight Laredo Tx, is not dangerous, and the two girls he is talking about were runaways who decided go have a getaway vacation with some dudes they met over the weekend.

@RaulMtz98 i dont think they would do that! I think the U.S will take care of that pretty quickly...these people are very dramatic about everything... if they dont let an illigal person come in, i dont think they would let those kind of people come in too!

i live in laredo and im at a school thats a couple blocks from the bridge and it sucks cause well get attacked first

This is from 2007. In 2010, Mayor Salinas and the Nuevo Laredo Alcalde both proclaimed back in February 2010, right around the Washington B-Day Parade that it was not true. In fact, they both claimed that people were imagining and hearing rumors. Look it up in Pro 8 News. Remember, the Former LPD Chief was indicted on racketeering w/ several other cops. Then the LT of the Counter Drug from the SO was indicted on Drug charges. No Pasa Nada, was what Laredo Mayor Salinas said on TV! NO PASA NADA!

i used to live in laredo and its tough but it aint gang dangerous, but once u cross to nuevo laredo, thas when shit gets bad

Nuevo Laredo, and Laredo are a total different thing! You don't see people shooting and killing...it's extremely rare (in Laredo tx)!! Laredo is safe!
