The Batman Complex - Theatrical Trailer 2

Hey there, I hope everyone is well and are gearing up for the TDKR Teaser that's hitting with Harry Potter tomorrow (tonight at midnight). "Signs" are pointing to it being a good one. ;) Also, to everyone heading to Potter at midnight tonight (myself included), enjoy!

Now, just a quick description here. I intended for the last trailer I did for The Batman Complex to be my last entry for the project, but that all changed when I heard Peter Gabriel's cover of "My Body Is A Cage." A few days ago, I read that it would be with the new John Carter trailer (which hit today). Being familiar with the original, I listened to it, and immediately thought of one thing: I need to do something for The Batman Complex with it. I think it's an awesome piece, and really fits the mood and tone of the project. I think that the few words that I've included perfectly fit the subject matter, and it just meshes with the imagery so nicely.

Anyhow, there's not too much that's actually new here, save for the final sequence. Seeing as we've got a lot of the backstory covered in the first two trailers, I thought it'd be good to quickly jump to the good stuff. Again, most of it is composed of extended bits of what we've seen, but to be honest, I just REALLY wanted to use the song to delve even further into the bleak, disturbing undertones of the story. In many ways, I think of this as the "Oscar bait" trailer, however, I doubt Oscar would go for something like this... :D

I know that Batman Complex is suppose to be interpreted as Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) being crazy and believes he is Batman even though he isn't. But the way I'm interpreting it is that Hugo Strange (or who ever that old guy is) hired Cobb under false pretense and actually scrambled Bruce Waynes psyche. Now Bruce doesn't know what to believe and Hugo basically succeeded, so now Cobb and his crew must go back in his mind and fix him. While in his mind they must fight Joker, 2face and Batman.

How did you make the title cards? (is that how it's called?)

Example:

When it says

"On Dec. 23"

"Unlock his secrets"

"Unhinge his mind"

"Unleash the knight"

@profmalicious from what I understand these guys were first sent to cure Bale and all go into his mind like in inception but Bale's mind fights them with projections of the Joker and Two-Face so they plant the seed of Batman in order to defeat these projections but then Batman himself becomes evil and so their characters then appear as villains (Scarecrow, Ra's, Bane)

If only Christopher Nolan would show this before TDKR as a way of saying thank you to all of the fans and their work over the years regarding his films... :/ This and the other TBMC trailers would be amazing to see in theaters! They're amazing!!! Great work!!!!
