The Ancient City of Sutri, Mitreum (The Madonna del Parto Church) (manortiz)

Of the few Temples left dedicated in the Imperial time to Mythra, the one of Sutri is absolutely of of the most remarkable ones. In the High Middle Ages this temple was turned into a Church and, on ealry XVIII century, the chosen name was "Madonna del Parto".

Thank you for posting this. I've been to Sutri like 4 times (every time I'm in Rome with a friend I try to take them there) and every single time the Mithræum is closed for some reason or another.
