K-ON! (Season 1-2 plus The Movie) has a plot, as well as evolving characters. It just requires attention and patience to see the covert references and implications which at first sight you might not even notice. It has a very slow pace, and when you wonder why this scene or movement was necessarily or omitted, you'll eventually understand further down the series, as it is often done so intentionally.

@iadukoh - After watching the second season, I definitely agree. While K-On! was slow, K-On!! (which has some great moments don't get me wrong), was sloooooooooow.

Looks aside, although among the group, Pokemon don't evolve. Since this is only considering the popularity, the enjoyment is recession. Although the recent anime I've been watching, this week is going down. Specially hungry have wet appetites, which is finally impatiently broken stories altogether. Moeville!
