TRANSLATED SPEECH: Arkona is a stronghold and a spiritual center of Baltic Slavonic tribes on the island of Rujan. Now it is island Rügen, territory of Germany. Where there was the sanctuary... of Slavonic major God Rod-Svantovit a temples of other Gods. Now it is a symbol for people who hold dear our Faith and who have to do with resurrection of our traditions and praising native belief. The important thing is that I do believe in forthcoming resurrection. And believe that there are people who will revive this sacred land from the ashes. Now the age of Aquarius is coming, the age of Svarog, which will change the history of mankind. Even now we can see more and more people start thinking about their ancestors and history of their folk. And most of them are already on the right way, so I can assume that ressurection is close. For me, my Faith is sacred and I really hold dear things that I praise in my lyrics. Thanks to my Faith, I am able to write songs that you hear. I is very important for us to be heard, but it is not our main goal. First of all, creative works of Arkona represent our world view, our belief. If someone supports our views, if someone likes our music - it makes us happy. Our creativity is our passion, which we can not live without. So we are going to continue working while we are physically able to do it. All my songs appear absolutely spontaneously, I never think much about composing some song. We can say, it all depends on my feelings in the moment I compose, and they echo through my every song. And I always do my best ro convey my current atmosphere to the listener. I love much what I do. Sometimes I hag out almost until unconscious, but when on the stage, a great delightful feeling fills me. It is about people around that are not indiffernt to what we do. Friends! Protect your Rod, keep your land safe, Gods help you! Slava! Featured on the 2009 live DVD: Noch Velesova (Ночь Велесова - Night of Veles)

  • @crtrburke God Rod is the creator of life and existence. Also Rod in all slavic languages means kin, or kinsmen(referring to Slavs). To protect it means to protect your nation, your brothers, family and friends, and all Slavs in general, your kin. Slava rodu would means Glory to Kin, or Glory to Rod himself.

  • What is "Rod"? What does it mean to protect it?

  • @driveby14000 America is a continent.

  • I'm trying to figure out what I need to study by looking up what people who inspire me did in their lives (education), just to get a step closer to what I want to achieve and get inspired along the way.

Arkona's music inspires me, mostly spiritually. I've been interested in ancient pagan believes for a while and really enjoy seeing a spiritual bond between humans and nature.

Masha inspires me also as becoming a female musician in a musical environment that isn't feminine.

    Thanks for the video :)

  • @nstgc379 Translation is in the video description

  • It's really inspiring to me to see a Pagan who is so strong in her faith. Something I really needed to see.
