Dear Joy,

How sad that you are so miss informed in regard to the Crests. The Crests in the video were formed in the year 2000. Thats 41 years after Johnny left the Crests. Johnny went on to form the Brooklyn Bridge in 1968. I'm not sure what you think the Bridge did to his lovely wife Grace, but I can assure you it wasn't Tommy or the Crests. Grace to this day remains a best friend of Tommy and his wife. Feel free to contact me in regard to this.

Just to let you all know, Tommy has reformed the Crests.  They're first appearance will be this Friday, Feb 12th at Springstead HS in Spring Hill, Fla. We will be opening for Bobby Rydell.

We will be also appearing at the Italian Festival in April, also in Spring Hill. Thank you all for your support and love.

Well, I think he does have the rights to The Crests name but yeah its not the same at all. I also have to respectfully disagree with the poster who said The Crests *is* Johhny Maestro, and believe me, I am a die hard Johnny Maestro fan!

Anyway, The Crests was ALL the guys. Their time togther was a moment that could never be reproduced.

Plus Johnny is actually a fan of Tommy and the person who posted this vid seems to know him so let's not hurt anyone's feelings too bad ok? :P

Tommy Mara was NEVER a "Legend of DooWop" NEVER sang DooWop the phony never recorded a hit. Another fraud posing as a Doo Wop singer. That era died before he was born I'd bet. The Crests were a totally integrated group including Lillian Vandross, Luther's sister, from the Lower East side of Manhattan. Johnny was the voice there will never be another, only Joel Katz comes close.
