its like most prjectors in that you plug it into your notebook, camera, DVD player using the VGA cable that it comes with and it will projecect what ever video signal that you feed into it. If you want to see this item working in normal ofice light visit the youtube page 3MInteractiveMedia (all one word)

Yes but this is LED Lumen. if you are curious what 9 LED lumen look like in normal office light go to 3MInteractiveMedia. Im pretty sure you will be surprised.
