Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) patient's Video Diary - Part 3: http://www.EmpowHer.com's irregular heart beat advocate Todd Hartley talks about his heart problem. What happens next? http://www.EmpowHer.com is a women's online health community.
I have arrhythmia. I've had it.... since.... I could remember. I had the operation, the one where they go up from my groin, and it was good for a few years, but now it seems like it's coming back. I'm scared because.... it's the heart and .... I'm not only scared but I'm also annoyed and tired of feeling like this. So, How are you doing?
sorry to tell you this viniz but my grandad died from having this operation! i suffer from SVT! ive had it for over 18mths now and taking meds for it but still happening its not nice at all when my heart starts pounding, going dizzy etc but the pills help a little i DONT want the operation as i dont want to DIE like my grandad did as im only 28 and have two young children! i hope everything is o.k for you todd and we all make speedy recoveries :)
I am also a heart patient, mine needs mitral valve replacement and this bothers me a lot cause i'm afraid of open heart surgery. I had this disease when i was 8 years old now i'm 31, i had my injection every 28 days back then..and now still taking my medication and one of those is xanor which i needed most especially when i can hardly breathe. Yes am afraid and desperate since i won't be able to bear a baby because of my heart condition.
I have a heart problem too. I had to be admitted to Two hospitals one night after my heart rate skyrocketed and I became delirious. My BP was VERY high too.. I have to see the cardiologist because they found something on my 24hr holter monitor.
But your Supraventricular Tachycardia is almost never life threating.. Did the doctor tell you this? Usually Ventricular Tachycardia is what will kill you. (V-TACH)
i have a heart beat problem 2 but the doctors havent been able to tell me what it is. it freaks me out whenever i have this arrhythmia episodes. they only last a few seconds or minutes though.

This disease is nothing.... I had SVT when I was much younger (daily and always over 300 beats per minute) and had an ablation...nothing to it!
