Open from WWCP-TV FOX8 Johnstown sometime last year. They use the FOX 1998 Affiliate package, which is right now classified as "production music", which is music that is known for low-production values

They still use the same music for the WJAC-TV produced broadcast but the graphics are like the vertical blinds effect.

I miss the old Fox 8 News. The new way its run makes it boring. Plus now its only a half an hour long while it used to be an hour long

WWCP-TV no longer produces its own newscast, that responsibility was handed over to Johnstown's NBC affiliate WJAC-TV in January 2008.

WWCP started each newscast with a "good news" segment, featuring a "soft" or "positive" story, followed by the regular news of the day.

This editorial decision was believed to be the single, largest, reason for the newscasts' abysmal ratings and loss of revenue.

Whatever happened to Dr. Dave from WWCP/WATM? I ust to live in that region as well, never really watched FOX 8 that much, but I loved the music and I just wanted to say I watched WTAJ-TV most.

I lived in Altoona off and on 2001-2005 and used to watch Fox 8 News religiously. Good stuff!
