@Makron5 I think it's not convenient to compare console sims and PC sims. On PC, simulation games are a whole different universe. Also, iRacing felt insufficient for me, in fact, even SimRaceway felt more solid (though it almost lacks support). I think that when it comes to sim racers, you need to separate the ones on console (GT, Forza, RacePro and some older games that are still respectable, like Enthusia), from the ones on PC (rFactor, iRacing, LFS, SimRaceway)

you need a 5.1 or 7.1 home theater soundsystem to hear the real sound of gran turismo 5, with normal speakers sounds like a vacuum cleaner. forza is good too but is not the"final simulator" has some bugs and IA fails, Gran Turismo 5 takes too much time, but in overall is a great game, needs a lot of patches... anyway both games are great to play if you are a real fan of the racing games.

thats one big reason why ive turned away from Gran Turismo...GT 1,2,3,and 4-where i finally got fed up, is with the exhaust nodes of about 95% of the cars. they were completely awful. not even close to what the car actually sounded like. my 1st time playing Forza 2, i was immediately impressed. Forza 3 is incredible and cant wait for the 4th installment to come out soon. they need to work on their cockpit view though. but not too shabby.

you know you can't get a more realistic game until you watch a McLaren F1 going rally racing =P

@uauquelegal Yeah agreed, some cars sound okay, but a lot of them sound like vacuums when they should roar.
