Sooty should have stayed in the family. Selling it to that other guy and doing the hotel series was a big mistake.

Couldn't agree more - the new bloke doing it is absolutely hopeless. You get the idea he's only at it to promote his own magic.
Bring back Matthew - since he left The Sooty Show's fallen apart.

@NPChilla Accualy, Matthew didnt sell it to richard (the new bloke) He sold it to a company who changed sooty alot! The company then did nothing with Sooty for 5 years so Richard (the new bloke) Bought Sooty off them in 2008 and is now filming a new series for sooty which is just like matthews old series so he has done sooty a favour :)

@UpTheIron2007 I agree, the hotel series was pretty bad ("sooty") But Matthew didnt sell it to Richard Cadell (the new guy) He sold it to a company who made the hotel series. Then Richard Cadell bought it in 2008 from the company and is making a new series which is very simular to matthew corbetts series so it's accualy pretty good :)

@Exoixx Hit Entertainment was the one that made the major changes to the show ('Sooty' series) but Gullane Entertainment ('Sooty Heights and 'Sooty's Magic') kept the Corbett formula. Richard Cadell has purchase the rights, a new 26 episode season is launching on the CITV Channel in September. I would search 'Sooty, Sweep and Soo' on facebook to find more information about it. So Richard under those companies should not be blamed, but this new show will be great for a new generation of kids.
