Forsaken People in the Epidemic of SARS (Part 1) 誰來關心被犧牲的少數?

Ignorant politicians, liars, cover-up and face-saving political solutions all have contributed to severe casualties when SARS infectious disease hit Taiwan in 2003. Many martyred health-care workers were forsaken, betrayed and sacrified by the authority.

This film "穿越和平(公視)" documented what had happened at the Municipal Hoping Hospital of Taipei City during the epidemic of SARS (between March and May of 2003). The original one-hour film is subdivided into 6 mini series and posted here for your information. Make sure you watch Part 6 of this series:

到底和平醫院A、B棟的交叉感染...在當時的環境，
周經凱變成落跑醫師的論斷合理嗎...
到底，沒有旅遊史的曹女士，誰是最初的感染源？
到底，封院全面集中隔離、4/23日的決策是誰下的？

在現今台灣的政體及社會，不幸被犧牲，
受冤屈的少數人，誰會來關心他們？誰來還公道？

現今台灣各級的政府及司法、檢調體系真能申張公理正義嗎？

如果台北市政府下令封鎖和平醫院的決策是錯誤的，為何我們政府法務部的檢察官至今日對周經凱醫師等仍窮追不捨呢？難道中華民國在台灣政權之法務部及司法院的法律人腦袋裝的­東西，就是和我們一般台灣住民不一樣？

還是整個體制就是問題？就像前台北市衛生局長張珩在這影片中(see Part 6 of this series)被錄音所承認的：在這政權體制下，如果你作出的選擇是和多數當權者不一樣時，下場當然就是被犧牲且無處申冤，因為這政權的政府是不會認錯的！

台灣住民認命吧;日頭赤炎炎,隨人顧性命！因為在這中國國民黨政權建立的政府,社會及行政司法體系,台灣多數的住民對誰被殺被搶被迫害已覺無力，也只能無感應的看待那些不­幸的被迫害者！但誰能來改變這非人性的社會心態呢？

(後註：六十年來,台灣各行各業的從業人都已將他們各別的行業提昇至世界不容輕視之地位，唯獨從事法律&政治的人卻迄今不能將台灣司法與人權及政府行政效率和清廉提昇至可­受世人尊重之地位，台灣法律、政治及公共行政等從業人難道不應覺得可恥！或許,在60年前台灣發生228大屠殺之後，國民黨有特權的人曾說「法院是他們開的」，當年唸法律­&政治者能否依其所學去服務社會都可能是問題。)

Yeah, you are correct: in this video, people speak mostly in Mandarin, a foreign dialect rarely spoken by Taiwanese 64 years ago.

In this video, people speak mostly in Chinese, not Cantonese. In Taiwan, we use Taiwanese, Hakka, many aboriginal languages, and Chinese.

@Azrl26 hey SARS is the only virus that has a very short life. the virus basically dies within 2 days or at the longest 7days.... most of the people who are dying or suffering from SARS are people over the age of 60 because there weak immune system can not fight off the virus. if a young healthy person like you or me got SARS, we would probably never know we had it because our immune system would have killed it. in the end probably Typhoid,Cholera,and malaria tend to be more deadly than SARS

As I checked Wikipedia on Sars i was a bit  astonished. Ther is still no cure, but there are no more infection no more deaths. Why?

People in Taiwan speak Mandarin Chinese (or Taiwanese Mandarin, a kind dialect of Mandarin Chinese), a dialect of Southern Min (or simply called Taiwanese), Hakka, and a few people speaks about several kinds Austronesian languages. We don't speak Cantonese.
