He had more fun with STP because he was influenced by this band and is now playing WITH them. In Linkin Park the lyrics have a personal meaning for him and he's just being serious on stage to give a great performance. Linkin Park is like a family too, also at live shows, but especially when they're not on stage. They reveal tons of video's of them having fun and working on everything together with a lot of fun, explains why the 6 of them are still together after such genre shift..

@RageLinkinMashine Chester actually doesn't have a "great" voice. He has a unique voice that works well for him and I like him, but when it comes to a vocally trained voice, he is sub-par at best.
However, hating on them just because they are popular is stupid and pretentious.
They are a good band and are obviously recognized as such by some of the best and most legendary in the business.

STP is a real band...hence why Chester had more fun performing with them. Linkin Park is just his job that he was hired to do....STP are like a family, Linkin Park are like coworkers....

I'm sick of the attitude of many metal and rock fans. Seems like if somethings popular it automatically sucks. If you don't think he's got a great voice YOU know nothing about music. Plus, what's the problem with him just jamming with a band he likes. Stop being elitist douches. I'd really like to hear some coherent arguments against him. I love grunge and rock, grew up with it. I listen to everything from Soundgarden to Linkin Park, I'm not musically ignorant, Chester's fucking outstanding.
