here is something you might not know. Jack Haley was not their first choice as being the tin man. It actually was Buddy Ebsen. Know who that is? Jed Clampett from the Beverly Hillbillies (the father).
Why did he not get the part? He actually did. But the most terrible thing happened! When they started painting his face, they found out that he had a terrible allergic reaction.

NO, man are people that stupid. If there had been a hanging do you really think they would release that part of the ?! It was a crane in the background spreading it's wings!
