This is the new 2nd of the augmented ring of eight for Hopton in Suffolk. It is now hung in the tower. If you look closely, you can see the rest of the Hopton bells on the floor behind the testing stand. They mostly date from 1629/1630. This bell was on display as part of the Taylors Open Day at the end of May 2010.

The clapper had not yet been made for this paticular bell, so one was used from stock. As for grimyness, what the hell are you talking about? Good engineering is good engineering however dirty it is. Grow up.
