Jesse Hill interview:
The video clip is from an interview conducted as part of an oral history project by the Atlanta History Center. The project is titled Voices Across the Color Line and focuses on the Civil Rights movement and activities in Atlanta, Georgia. In this clip, Jesse Hill discusses the importance of the Butler Street YMCA in Atlanta, Georgia and the leadership within this organization. He also stresses the importance of the relationship between the community and Atlanta University Center, especially during desegregation. The entire interview is available for viewing in the research room of the Kenan Research Center at the Atlanta History Center.
