Bruson is an old Verdi war horse who came out of retirement due to another singer's illness. He still knows how to rock the house.

I am a fan of Fleming's, even though she sometimes does things that startle me, but I do wish that her detractors would bother to spell her name correctly. Silly of me, no?

Come on, JessyeNormanFan, I am not to die for Fleming`s singing too but she is excellent here. This is full throated singing with some beauty of tone not to be heard from anyone nowadays. Chapeau bas!

Hmmmmm... I'm yet to come across a performance by Flemming that moves me and that I actually like. Before you Flemming fans attack me, I'm only expressing an opinion. For me, her singing always lacks that je ne sais quoi to make me replay or scream bravo. For sure, hers is a pretty voice.
