This is a first recording with the Korg padKontrol + Roland TD-10. I used to play an Akai MPD-24 pad controller, but just switched to this Korg padKontrol, because it responds better to soft touches. Mapping and other information here: http://www.alawa.ch/spip.php?article45

The sound is generated by the TD-10, which is a Virtual Drum sound module. There is no software involved at all.

  • but this is improvised right..? there's no way you can remember all of this :D

  • @Tschiyeah yes, it is.

  • exxcellent ! is there a method for remember pads ?

  • @abelouis75 yes, practice until you remember ;-)

  • How do you play so well. I can't play the hi hat while playing the bass and snare. :( my fingers just play what the bass is playing

  • @xSBxUltrax like on a drum kit, you have to develop some independence. Comes with practice.

  • @xSBxUltrax map two sounds to one pad! :)

  • @SINISTER666SNARE Good for you!

  • @NastyNatey Mine is very responsive. Check the manual, I didn't change any settings in a long time.

  • @fugazivicarious1 You first plug it to a sound module, because it generates no sound by itself. Then to an amp.

  • I have never played drum machine. I have a question. Do you plug this to a speaker or an amp when you play this?

  • I just got a Padkontrol and mine doesn`t seem as responsive. Is there a way to adjust the velocity on the unit? I feel like I really have to mash the pads to get it to produce sound.
