This is a NONPROFIT film project put on by the crew at East Hollywood High, who brought you Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, and Hamlet Goes West, pertaining to the talents of a certain handsome duo by the name of Ryan Gosling and Zach Shields, or Dead Man's Bones.
Their haunting music inspired director Rylee Syme to write a beautiful screenplay about love, loss, death, tragedy, and resurgence. The story is of a young Ryan and Quin; two humans who are more in love than all of the humans. Their courtship is beautiful, something to be admired, but when Ryan asks for Quin's hand in marriage, she falls ill and dies. Ryan mourns her loss to the point that he becomes the walking dead, seeing tidbits of the other side pop into his daily life. In a mad rush to save his lost love, Ryan travels to the Land of the Dead, desperately seeking Quin. Through Death, Rage, and Sadness blooms Love.
Rylee Syme's fever dream inspired by some of the most striking music of today is haunting and sure to leave you feeling surrealistic.
Once again, this project is NONPROFIT, with no monetary gain to the makers of the film or to outside contributors. Like a PBS telethon or High School Production.
