Well done! Yes, many people forget the old rule about a foot having to stay on the ground before contact (foot fault). Allowing the feet to come off is akin to college basketball allowing the dunk...a rule can revolutionize the game. In the case of tennis, a series of changes along with bigger racquet heads, polyester strings, etc...it allowed the modern spin and power game.

1:29 is a perfect example why it's ridiculous to compare players from different eras. Different sport.

I have personally played with a wooden racquet, and the sweet spot is indeed difficult to grasp in the beginning of any match; however, as the match progresses, the sweet spot follows the ball, provided that sufficient attention is paid.
