hi, thnx, yes I have EADGC, and here I've got an elixir medium set (from a 6 string set I take five), these strings works for me on this bass and also they work on my acoustic Takoma.

is it hollow enough to be able to play it without using an amp?

@Chiller30001993 Hi, it is a nice thing to play alone at home, better than a solid one for that, but not for playing unpluged toghether with an acoustic guitar.

@Chiller30001993 Hi, apologize my english... The semi-hollow afects -in my opinion- on the way the unplugged instrument sings but not as an acoustic bass guitar, where the amplification is so complicated. So I thing the amount of natural ressonance here is appropiated. Then, when plugged, a little bit of natural resonance stays and the double hired pickups (in my bass) are going very  well with that. They are passive and go very nice with a lamp preamp...

@pCeLobster Hi, thnx for nice comments, the bridge spacing between string is customizable but not so much, and the bass is not completely hollow, it does has a centre-block. The sound is very nice on both pickups and also when mixing them. I play also the acoustic bass guitar and I can get a sound close enough to acoustic...Have a nice day
