Bear cub in grocery store Ketchikan, Alaska

In Ketchikan, Alaska on October 15, 2011, at 5:30pm a black bear cub walked through the front door of Tatsuda's IGA, a locally owned grocery store, climbed up onto the produce rack and ran all over the fresh vegies. The local police were called and the bear was released back into the wild. This is the first time in anyone's memory that something like this has ever happened.

@ksisick yes thats why i said what i said ,,, in the lower 48 and most of canada the police are gun happy lunatics ,,, in the city where i live they shot dogs , cats ,, racoons ,, any animal they get a chance to and in ohio just this week several large animal where shot i believe over forty big cats, monkeys ,,, and other animals that had been lets go from a mans collection after he commited suicide ,,, most of which could have been saved and given a chance for some type of life

@ksisick When I was in Alaska they would shoot bear with rock salt to drive them away. Part of appreciating wildlife is ensuring that their fear of man remains intact.
