Music by Peter Benisch. A demo of me playing with the movement of the spine from one end to the other. By allowing the flow of movement to travel sequentially up and down the spine, you open up the joints within the spine. By moving very slowly, you allow the conscious mind to register the subtleties of your movement.
A few points to remember:
*build movement through progressively more challenging repetition
*shoulder blades slide down the back towards the hips when spine moves into extension
*notice where you tend to speed up - this is where you're most likely to need more attention and awareness
Even if you're not in Venice or LA, you can have an online yoga or pilates session with me via Skype or ichat. Simply go to my website http://www.yogawithsue.com and send me an email via the 'contact' page!
A perfect execution that can participate in various muscles in a cyclical movement and allowing only one field of concentration and movement. Certainly these exercises when practiced with this intensity and care benefit any body.

Very beautifully executed with obvious deep awareness and intention. Slow, deliberate movement allows the neocortex of the brain to take over and actually brings about a heightened consciousness. The spine awakens, the mind becomes more focused...this is one of the many benefits of Yoga.

I dunno why but just watching this made my spine shiver. Maybe the whole thought of our bones being a part of who we are creeps me out. Am I childish?

This video made me feel so good inside by the end I was completely relaxed. I also absolutely love Peter Benisch that song was "Spiralling" from the Soundtrack Saga with vocals by Krister Linder. Once again thank you for sharing.
