Christianity Is Sick

I believe the Bible is clearly written by men. How could any human worship such a sicko. How can billions of people want to follow this sicko? Its very depressing how stupid human kind is. I will be happy to debate anyone who wants to use logic. If you want to debate on forums I will always respond at http://www.ikory.com/forum

@metalsusa1 They may fear to do so as their belief brings them the comfort they need. Then again maybe they belief because they have had an experience with Christ. And no reasoning could change that because of their experience.

@ZeusHelios Yeah, sometimes I forget not everyone cares about factual information. They can give a hoot if it makes sense when it brings them comfort, meaning, and peace. I guess it comes down to whether or not the person chooses to question their belief system.

@metalsusa1 Mmmm. I think there probably different reason why many theist defend the bible. Some just seem to not want to be wrong. Others because they cant see it any other way. Some because of fear. And I guess for some it makes logical sense to them from the way they understand things. And many other reason. Its a hell of a task to change anyone's belief system.

@ZeusHelios A valid question. Definitely atheist. Most of my wife's side of the family are practicing Catholics (a loose definition) One of my wife's older sisters goes bat shit crazy if you challenge her belief system. Listening to her "theories" of the Bible over the years makes me believe she has no idea what the Bible even says.

@metalsusa1 Are you saying this from an atheist point or theist point. The urgency to get attention to cause fear and control people or the urgency to be saved from thier sins. If the latter is the case then why. Lucky really for those who had nothing to do with christianity back then. Least thy would not need kill their children. I suppose those who were in the religion would never have committed such a sin fearing they will be killed. So none or very few were ever killed.

Its true that such things are extremely hard to grasp that a loving God will ask for such a thing. It says for the wages of sin is death. Now its saying to kill those who curse their parents for his blood will be on his own head. Is that saying that Jesus sacrifice will not cover their sins for those cursing thier parents and so they must die. And why be put to death if they are gonna die anyway. As death is the punishment for sin.
