  • It's so true.... i've been told by friends of mine in other european countries that their commentators say the exact same thing. Of course none of these friends are from the Eastern counties that are doing this... lol.

But to be honest, the UK shouldn't care about Eurovision... we produce some of the best songs/singers in the world, we don't need to win Eurovision to proove how good we are :P

  • We need a Commonwealth song contest.

  • Free Scotland? Haha. Yeah, we're oppressing those Scots so much our Prime Minister's Scottish...

  • As stated below, the rest of the UK isn't forcing it to stay.

  • We have no reason to "free" Scotland - as yet, Scotland hasn't had a vote that says it wants to be freed. They're perfectly entitled to call a referendum; the Scottish Parliament would call it once it felt they would have a chance of winning.

  • Sure, Free and Independent Scotland like it used to be until 1707.

  • Free Scotland???? You have not a clue. And serbia commenting on Hitler?? POT KETTLE BLACK!

  • Yes I hope Terry does leave & the UK with him. Lets leave the ESC to the musical-incompetents - this contest stinks

  • Afterall, we were one of the countries this year that didn't appear to vote for our neighbours. That's good for the competition, but means we shouldn't be surprised not to have the consistent back-scratchers so many others have.

  • It's not necessarily because they 'hate' us. The countries that vote for us are those geographically closest to us, and that's the case for all countries. Not being densely surrounded or having a hugely complicated recent political history and ethnic cross-over with many of our neighbours is why we have such a disadvantage ever since Eastern Bloc countries joined in. According to Wikipedia Greece and Cyprus have voted for each other ever since 1998. A lack of alliances like that is our problem.
