Part of the 4th Annual Community Forum on Economic Development held on the campus of IU-South Bend April 18, 2009. This is a breakout session entitled "Community Organizing: Getting at the source of the problem" conducted by Carl Redwood, chair of Pittsburgh's One Hill Coalition and Adjunct Faculty at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Social Work. The session focused on the role of community organizers, who work with others to improve the social conditions of a community in order to enhance the quality of life for the people in it.
