To prevent an injury to the wrist, I would tighten up the wraps a bit by sprinkling some chalk in them and when pushing on the ends in the crush down, create radiant tension slowly and then explode into the nail.

does it really works grip strength better than a spring gripper? Hard to believe with all those wraps.

@adepsa Well, kettlebells in general are excellent for building grip strength. Spring grippers, like the Captains of Crush are more specific in building the crush-grip.
I'm not sure which wraps you're referring to, (the wrist wraps or the leather wraps used to bend the nails) but I'm not sure why I had the wrist wraps on because the video is old and and the leather wraps are pretty much a necessity in nail bending unless you're using canvas or something else.

Thanks for the tips Jedd! Older vid and I've since got some better leathers and use chalk. Definitely makes a difference with a bit more bite.
