Test footage demonstrating audio video of the Insignia 1080p camcorder, which is supposedly High Definition. Editied with Arcsoft software that was included with the camcorder. Note: editing with Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD 9.0 results in choppy video that is more like a slideshow.

  • learn how to use the proper setting for the camera and to edit video before you make bad comments about this camera. please don't take this guy serious please. i have it and is good for the money.

  • I am not quite that incompetent. I have worked with customer support several times to try to repair the problems that occur with editing the videos with the included arcsoft software. They could not fix the problems with the camera either. I would love this camcorder to work properly, but it does not.

  • this is not hd, the guy converted this video, which ruined quality, then used sony vegas, ruined again. the camera isnt really like this

  • @DirkAncelin No. It isn't. This video is nowhere NEAR 1080p. A better test would be to record in .mov format and directly upload to youtube without any conversion. I have already done an outside video this way and am now inspired to do an indoor one. In 1080P.

Not trying to be a dick, but don't like to see people mislead.

  • by the way I use camtasia studio 6 which is some what better than arcsoft imo.

  • the main thing is the money factor. You know, you get what you pay for.

P.S you are not even using it in HD and yes in low lighting is not the greatest but it gets it job done.

  • my bad, i just thought everyone used it, so i read. and i got this today also, the program it comes with did ruin the quality.

  • @DirkAncelin Glad you didn't take offense to my responses. Sometimes I come off assy, but I dont mean to be. I just uploaded a quick test video I made of my ridiculously messy room. I'll add it as a response to yours once it finishes the youtube "processing" stage.

  • I hope your indoor shoot works out well. I never saw a problem with the video of videos I shot outdoors (still had sound problems after editing), but I use the camera indoors for my shoots. If you get a good indoor video, please post it as a response to this one.

  • This is representative of the camera in 1080p and was edited using the arcsoft software that came with it.

  • This video is representative of the camera's capabilities indoors in 1080p resolution.
