  • i have right now exactly what you say you had...

feel sort of like an alien lost and confused in this world ive had a circle of bad negative obsessive thoughts and now its upto were i think were are we here and it scares me i think i really need CBT help :/

  • the obsessive thoughts come from the mood you are in at the time, focus on the feeling in the moment, don't analyse it just feel it without labelling!!

when you've cooled off try writing down everything that comes to mind, this way you can do what you need to do and look back on the irrational stuff. this is good for short term.

CBT is helpful in the long term, you might want to try exercise to release the feel-good hormones, walking round the block will do!!

  • Hi Dave- Always refer back to the early years of the conditioned mind: fear of disapproval. it's everything. Now, YOU actually have something to be "proud" of: you are an accomplished keyboardist/musician. That is ENOUGH on the level of form for all the "self-esteem" that you need. Plus you're obviously smart, caring, thoughtful, deep, good-looking and all that shit, too!

  • Thanks for all the compliments Andy. That's got me listening to a few cds, and doodling along on the guitar too!

  • WOW, I agree with you on each and every step of your recovery program. With this positive attitude and the willing of recovery my friend you will overcome without any doubt your social phobia. I wish the best of lucks.

  • Thanks friend, it's reassuring to know that I'm on the right track, best of luck to you too.

  • Good video, I'm recovering or trying to. I found watching your video very helpful.

    Good Luck

  • I guess that part of anxiety is from having an eye for detail and reading between the lines, seeing all the intricate stuff.

  • me and my brother talk quite similarly and people cant tell us apart on the phone, but were chalk and cheese in every other respect
