@MrsJeanAviles He was 38; was killed by mafia in Rime. He was waiting for a car that should take him to a hospital. A false ambulance came, picked him up and later came the real car from the hospital. He was found dead, in front of the hospital. His wife died 1 month later, probably killed by mafia too. Never believed she had killed herself, with four little children. In those days, the fact wasn't commented.

People may have joked about him, calling him Mario Labonza or Mario Lasagna because of his struggles with his weight problem, but such joking ceased quickly after his untimely death at age 38. He could have left us much more had his life run a more natural span, but what he DID leave us, is excellence.
