Hinduism and Socialism

According to Hinduism God is the source of all wealth. He favors none and rewards people according to their merit and demirt. Inequality is inherent in creation and Nature. The pairs of opposite are there to help us realize who we are. We cannot mitigate the suffering of the people through materialistic means. Socialism and communism are the invention of deluded minds. Diversity is the means by which Nature keeps its hold on beings. Real equality is possible only through spiritual means in the spiritual realm where the same Self resides in all. So do your obligator duties. Help the poor and the meak on your own terms, but do not let the socialists and the communists to destroy our religion or its eternal valuese through their deluded idealism.

You do not force the world to be equal. You become equal to the world. This is the essence of spiritual practice or yoga. Our scriptures say do not try to change the world which is anyway subject to continuous change. Instead, change yourself and look at it with the equanimity, sameness and detachment.

@TheLonePantheist Seems like many people are having trouble understanding the Vedic Dharma. The vid SHOULD say The VEDAS (hinduism is a man made word by the way) the Vedas do not support MARXIST socialism OR caste systems OR capitalism. it supports VarnAshram-Dharma, which maybe somewhat mentioned in the video but also it should mention we are REQUIRED to give all we don't need to those who need on GOD'S terms (See Gita & Bhagvatam) not "on YOUR terms."

@amitp2 Socialism doesn't have to be a system of dictatorship, where the wealth only stays with a group of politcians. The reason why socialism didn't work is that it was based on dictatorship and making everyone conform to a system of slavery. Socialism can work, if it is run spiritually with values and policies based on human freedom, equality and human spiritual evolvment. Democractic capitlaism with individual ownership doesn't work either, we are seeing it now.

Truth does not require any help. It stands on it's own. Lies require support of government (which socialistic states provide in plenty). If socialism was good, it would have worked and proved itself.

There were great things when system was capitalistic (unlike today), when currency was backed by GOLD and there was no central bank and there was no income tax. At that time, people donated voluntarily to relieve fellow man's suffering.

It doesn't work currently because man is not "evolved" enough to grasp such a concept yet. Socialist countries fail because they end up losing site of the important issues of their people and because the people become too reliant on the system. If there is any good that arose out of tribalism, it's Brotherhood. Which captialistic ideas such as social darwinism doesn't support.Socialism is closer to brotherhood, I never said socialism was perfect, for in the future we will have better systems.

Capitalism is not perfect. It needs compassion. However, without capitalism no progress can be achieved. It is best of the system of what's available. Capitalism cannot perform when we try to "introduce" socialist principles in it.

Socialism is AHEAD of time??? Give me a break. Why didn't it work in any country even where it was for a long period of time.

No my friend. Capitalism is a past concept. Socialism is just ahead of its time. Humans, as we currently are, cannot get over our need to self indulge ourselves. The advancements in humanity throughout human history happend because we further distanced ourselves from this political structure.

Look at the primitives and their way of life or even the animals. They will never achieve what we have achieved because they don't know how to cooperate beyond their mere packs the way we do.

Which countries you have been where Socialism has brought wealth? It literally destroyed countries.

And if you feel there is prosperity in socialist countries, that prosperity was created by capitalism existing in these countries. These socialist countries are destined to fall.
