According to French Psycholoanalyst Jaques Lacan, the Mirror Stage is the point in childhood development when the ego and sense of self is formed. It is the time when reality becomes concreted and we understand ourselves in that we are seperate from other people and things around us. This is the story of the woman who reached that stage too late.
