"They're O.K. the Last Days of May," Buck Dharma wrote/sang, paradoxically to, the intrepidation of the last days of high school. But you can't know what I mean, unless you're seventeen....

Like an arrow drawn on the tension of a bow, the stage is set for flight into this world.

  • the storys about bucks cousin, who tried to make a quick living by pickin up alot of weed near mexico, with his friends with intentions obv of selling it. shit went south, as the story tells ( they were robbed and killed) but what alota of people dont know, is that buck was invited to go.. "you wouldnt be interested in comin, along; instead of stayin here?..they say the west is nice this time of year.."

  • I like to tune my guitar BEFORE I record important shit. That's all.

  • I had the privilege of hearing the story behind this song from a guy who knew the folks involved...yeah it's a true story. Funny, I knew that before I met him.

  • after we kill the priests, you are next,

  • The singer can be sued if caught singing this song at any other time other than between the dates of May 26 through the 31st. Sorry, I'm an attorney that's been out of work in a slow economy, I need to sue someone over something.Maybe I can go after the band for playing the song at the wrong time of the year and causing me to check my calender so much I have"calender elbow".Naw,I'll just get a job at Walmart and get some sort of workmans comp when I throw my back out as a greeter.

  • From what I gather, the way they play it now is more rock than blues ballad. It misses the sadness of the original IMHO.

  • When I saw BOC in the 70's Buck mentioned this was a true story about friends of his...

  • I agree, excellent video and excellent guitar work

  • As the others have said, this is about a drug deal gone bad, but that shouldn't exclude the fact that that kinda stuff goes on in HS.

Your video is not stupid...just listen to the lyrics as well as the guitar!!!

  • this song has nothing to do w/ HS. it's about a drug deal gone wrong. Plus, your video is stupid.
