  • that tree is way to small to tap, minimum tree size should be 10-12 inches in diameter. drilling two inches into that tree you probababy hit the heart wood, plus copper is poisonous to the tree. you definitely should have done some research first.

  • YOur intentions are all well and good but for crying out loud go pick up the maple producers manual and read it. You just killed that tree. It is to small,tap to big ,you drove it in way to hard I can go on and on. Get the book.

  • Aye, ya, you have to sneak up on those maple cause when they see you coming with a drill they'll run every time. Look up the word crude in the dictionary and you'll see a picture of this guy beside the definition.
