Song written by Duff McKagan and Izzy Stradlin for the album Beautiful Disease.

"Izzy and I wrote this one. He rides his motorcycle everywhere; he just goes out into the desert with extra gas and water and supplies.
He finds these trails that go to Mexico from Arizona, and he's gone for days. So he found a guy out there, a Mexican who was trying to go to L.A.
The guy was lost; he was going north east. Izzy put him on his bike, gave him a sandwich and water, and took him up to the highway.
He gave him some money and said, "You wanna go that way --
you wanna go west, dude." I hope he made it." - Duff

  • Izzy was almost in velvet revolver. He wanted to share vocal duties with duff instead of having a lead singer. When they opted for a lead singer, he quietly faded out.

  • This song was never released but recorded between 97 and 99 as a rough guess. It was slated to be on Duff's second solo album Beautiful Disease but was scrapped by the record label.

  • @ihmisvinski He didnt wanna join..such a pity

  • i fucking cry, those r my IDOLS.

  • @ihmisvinski slash duff and matt wanted that...but when izzy recieved their invitation he said no...and i dont know why?? FUCK ME!u__u

  • i Just can't understant why didn't they take Izzy Stradlin to Velvet Revolver.. He and Duff should sing! and then it would be like GN'R without one Motherfucker!

  • duff sounds sexy

  • The inspiration behind song Needles from Izzy's album Ride On reminds me a lot of the story from the info.

  • When was this recorded?
