Two sparrows sold, for a farthing.
The Father see's the one that falls.
Two sparrows sold , for a farthing.
The Father loves them,one and all. Mathew's from Detroit, from the burned down side of town.
With little hope or money,life was hard,
A stepchild of society, the only way was down!
So to get his education, joined the guard. Mathew twisted wrenchs and he worked on trucks and cars,and he never really liked this "liars" war.
But he always sensed his duty, to his country, and to God,and somehow, he ended up in Kanduhar. Two sparrows sold, for a farthing.The Father sees the one that falls.

The Father loves them one and all. Ali was a different sort,,from different circumstance, he was raised religious, reading the Koran.
Happy in society, with family and with friends.
In a different world that we don't understand.
Then one day, in '92 a bomb fell thru the roof, a piece, they found, said "Made in U.S.A."
So just as he was starting life, cruel death got in the way.
He vowed to pay them back, somehow, someway. Two sparrows sold for a farthing, the Father sees the ones that fall.
Two sparrows sold for a farthing, the Father loves them one and all. Whether fate or foul that brought them here, don't matter anymore.
Today their blood will mingle in the dust.
And "money" only, knows too well,the words "Thou shalt not kill".
And "money" only knows,"In God We Trust"
Tonight as "money" takes to dine, his banker,backer, friends.
None of whom have worked, or gone to war.
They'll smile and wink, and drink their blood,and eat their cup of meat.
