I always thought as a kid they were singing about my mom;s family, who were Schaeffer's in Reading PA, and did drink Schaefer beer. They also drank Reading Beer, another true classic. Maybe not a micro brew, but a cold glass and some ring baloney made a sweet moment!
Exact same words here! Weird, isn't it. I can sing this song by heart. I am 51 and remember when this beer was still popular. And those ads brings me back to my growing up in NYC. :-)
I LOVE THIS KIND OF STUFF....this was back when all a man needed was beer with dinner (and after dinner), a cigarette, sitting in front of the TV in your own little ranch house.......ahhhh the good life
