C.E. Byrd High School Band plays "Old Time Rock and Roll" for our Highsteppers, then our field show by the Beatles, with trumpet solo to "Hey Jude" by freshman Claire Letson and world class competitive twirler, freshman Sara Stanley

@Unbeatenone The twirler is still there. The girl trumpet player left due to persecution from the ByrdBandWebmaster because she and herister outscored Pam and Jon Flairs son.They are at Caddo Magnet now,

Good drums. Great twirler. What's with the idiots in tennis shoes? Boy that little blonde can play the hell out of that trumpet.Yay for the twirler and the girl trumpet player.

@Flcracker94: You're right of course,but if you saw the "field" they have for practice you would understand why they march looking down. They travel to a field with 2 wide, deep ditches and enough pot holes to resemble a battlefield. They load up, travel, unload, pratice about 45 mins. load up again travel back, unload and put away equip. They try hard but without backing from their administration it's a wonder they can march at all. We're hoping to get a better field next year

In your dreams maybe. Get your harmonica and bring it on. Your band is so bad nobody wants to join.Notice you didn't show up at any competitions. These Byrd musicians will dust you off, no problem! Quit hiding behind your keyboard and get your big mouth out on the field.We'll be waiting! Oh, by the way; a video is worth a million words, so POST IT or SHUT UP!!!

Chuck Letson, I have to agree with you. I was in the Captian Shreve band program '99-'03 and I thought we were bad back then but they have gotten worse!! I wanted to play in Byrd's band when Mr. Edwards was there.

@fks84 Yeah, that Steve Edwards was and still is a great trombone player and a great jazz teacher.
