Its actually the complete oposite - I tried first with the microphone in, and it recorded the sound from it and it was quite loud, but too noisy. Then, I removed the micrphone and the result was this.
I used gtk-recordmydesktop again, but maybe this time its more pulse-audio-friendly.
Strange.. I can hear it.. what app was it this time? Did the computer have a microphone? Perhaps it recorded through your microphone, which is why it's so quiet :)
Perhaps playing with your mixer settings might enhance the volume.
I also noticed the sound is somewhat delayed...
